Before you request an answer by email from Andrea to solve
your crisis or challenge...
1. Determine if your
question is a crisis or if it's just something that
irritates you. If someone's
life is in danger or a
crime has just been committed
you need to call the police or
Emergency 9-1-1. A crisis or suicide
intervention hotline is a smart choice when timing is of
the essence.
2. Check my list of booklets to see if there is
already a report, booklet, or manual that answers your
question. The Table of Contents will give often you a
good idea. You can order any of my publications online
or offline.
3. Phrase your crisis question in the form of a
HOW DO I? question. (Doesn't this
sound like "Jeopardy!"?) Be as specific as you can. It's
more difficult to answer general
questions.
4. Keep it to
one or two pages but give me some specific
details of the situation. Pertinent background always
helps.
What happened? How long has this been
going on? How is this affecting you or your family or
co-workers?
5. Tell me about you: your
name,
your
age,
your
relationship to the other people in
your question, your
occupation; it could all have a
bearing.
6. Tell me in what
city you are located and
what
newspaper you read
there.
7. Tell me your
email address and your
phone number. I will use these only if
I need details from you to help me understand the situation
clearly.
8. Understand that private responses from me will require a
fee for private brainstorming or
consultation.
9. If you want to receive my one page list of

postage). If you're in a country
outside of North America send me a postal money order in US
dollars for the first class US postage to your country from
