1. Aren't you just a glorified bill collector?

Not really. I work for the "little guy" like you and me; I don't work for big corporations and I don't harass or bully people who are under enough stress as it is from other circumstances. No matter how big the organization is I from which I am collecting I try to work with them, not attack them or make their lives unpleasant.

2. Will you work for bill collectors if they ask to hire you?

Probably not, but you never know. First, they would need to prove to me that the debt is valid and that they are entitled to collect it. They would have to supply all the documentation I need and allow me to handle the "case" in my own way with no bullying, harassment or threats; and they would have to pay me a fee, not expect me to get paid based on what I can collect. Collecting from people in financial crisis is too high-risk for me to do without compensation.

3. Will you work for a percentage of what you collect?

I'm not a personal injury lawyer who works on speculation or contingency. I'm one person who had her income taken away, incurred a heavy debt load, sold her home at a loss, became homeless, and is just starting to rebuild at a time when many people her age are able to retire. I'm not in a position to take on any risk on anyone's behalf. But I also don't take on cases that I think are not likely to have a good outcome. I don't want to waste people's good money. I take on cases I feel certain I can resolve successfully.

4. What if someone wants to hire you but can't afford to pay you?

There may be
grants (donations) made by kindly strangers who have risen above similar circumstances or who have been clients for whom I have retrieved money. I will apply all donations and grants to services that anyone who needs my help genuinely can't afford to pay for. I can't work for free, but one of my booklets or manuals may be the first step toward doing it yourself.

5. What's the most unusual case you've handled?

I invoiced a man for dumping my client for another woman...
on her birthday. He paid.

6. Are you yourself paying people who are entitled to money from you?

Yes, about 2/3 of my income from this business goes to paying down my debts to others. The rest pays my basic living expenses with no luxuries or extras.

7. What qualifies you to recover money for others?

I guess the fact that I can do it successfully for myself and others. The proof is in the doing.

8. What do I need to do to hire you to help me?

Let's start by completing my
Request for Services.

9. Will you accept credit cards for payment?

I can, but I hate to see people going further into debt. There are several other ways to pay me. Perhaps
one of these will work better for you.
